Biography

April Scott was born on January 29, 1979, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and grew up on a 20-acre farm in a rural part of the Midwestern state. She began entering beauty pageants in her teens, and won the Miss Missouri Peach Queen, her hometown pageant, at the age of 16. Following graduation from high school, she enrolled at a private Christian college in her home state. In 2001, she earned her degree as a theater studies major with a minor in rhetoric. April could hardly wait to leave her small, sleepy town for the bright lights and excitement of a big city. Shortly after graduating college, she packed her bags and drove to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an actress, despite having no contacts in the city and little money to get by. Within a week of her arrival in the City of Angels, April found a talent agent who encouraged her to pursue modeling in addition to acting. She landed bookings on modeling shoots from the get-go, and also managed to receive a Screen Actors Guild card within a couple of months of her move to Southern California. april scott on the shield By 2003, April Scott began making appearances on a number of television series, including an episode of The Shield with Glenn Close, as cohost of Ripley's Believe It or Not! on TBS, and the 2004 season premiere of CSI: Miami, in which she was cast as Trish Kimball, a model who ends up getting murdered when a man in a yellow Lamborghini intentionally runs her over. That same year, she landed bit parts on HBO's Entourage, appearing in two different episodes as a model, and as the "girl in the bikini," and she also hosted the extreme sports show The Hook on ESPN2. In 2005, hard-rock fan April Scott appeared in the video for “If I Die Tomorrow” by heavy metal legends Mötley Crüe.
